Hair tool hooks can save space on your bathroom counter and free up drawer and cabinet storage. They also can clear up vanity space for a more streamlined look. They can be found at Target, Walmart and Amazon and come in a variety of styles and price ranges. Many come with built in compartments to hold hair dryers, flat irons and curling irons as well as brushes, combs and styling products. Some are designed to fit over a towel bar, or sit on the countertop, while others can be mounted to the wall.
Another option is a rolling cart, like this one from Polder Style Station. Celebrity hairstylist Akihisa Yamaguchi says this is an easy and convenient way to store all your tools, products and cords. You can also make a simple DIY storage cart by attaching hooks to the inside of your cabinet door using PVC pipe and hook tape. Just make sure you choose hooks that are strong enough to support your irons and the cords.
You can also repurpose an existing item to hold your tools, such as a pretty metal magazine holder that has plenty of room for the irons and their cords. Or, you can purchase a specialized door organizer basket with separate compartments for storing your hot styling tools, such as this one from madesmart. These are great for clearing up vanity space, but you should always unplug your tools before putting them away so that they have time to cool down.
